Here are some terms I will be using when talking about deals. Ill try to explain as I use each new one, but if you feel lost just come back to this post and hopefully my little acronyms will soon make sense. :)

$/# - This means that you get $ off for every # you buy. Example: $1/2 would mean that you get $1 off every 2 that you buy.

AFC = www.afullcup.com Q website

B1G1 = Buy One Get One Free (B1G2 is Buy One Get Two Free etc.)

BOGO = Buy One Get One Free

CAT = Catalina. A coupon that prints out at the register that is either $$ off your next purchase or $$ off a certain product. They can be manufacturer coupons OR store coupons. Note: These are sometimes delayed in printing so wait a minute before walking away from the register. If you think you were supposed to get one and didn't, talk to the cashier/manager and explain. If the Cat did not print b/c of the machine's error (offline, unpluggled, jammed paper etc) call them (they are very nice) at 1-888-8coupon, option 3.

CRT - Coupon that prints at the end of your reciept, CVS and occassionally Target have these. They are store coupons.

Inserts - These are "packets" of coupons found in Sunday papers and also sometimes in the ads mailed to you during the week.

Double Coupons = This is the term used when stores will double a coupon's value. Some stores do this every coupon months, some never do it, and in some regions stores will pick a day a week to double. In Washington, Albertsons and Kmart are the stores that will double occasionally. Some stores may also set a maximum value limit. Example, no coupons over $2 and only 10 per transaction/day.

If you then buy another 4 Kraft Cheese Bricks you can use the previous catalina you received as payment towards the order and another $5 catalina will print.

  1. So funny. I thought I was going to a golden garden blog. Wish I had a photo of my expression of confusion. Then I got it.
    Do you garden too? The veggies from the garden are quite a bargain too.. :-/

  2. lol I definatly do NOT garden! My mom and dad are huge gardeners, corn, onions, broccolli, tomatoes, lettuce, you name it, they try and grow it! I can barely keep my houseplants alive!

    I trade them from my stockpile of things I get free/cheap from coupons (shampoo/conditioner, cleaning products etc)for their fresh veggies and fruit every year. It works out great!

    Its nice to see you, even if it was an accident! :)
